Pilot Study of Experience Sampling Methodology
Description
April 19 - 23 marked a week of pilot study on experience sampling methodology of school principal leadership activities. A team of Northwestern University researchers tested a handheld device-based survey tool with a series of questions that principals answered repeatedly at random times throughout the day. The cooperation of several Chicago Public Schools principals allowed implementation of the tool at multiple sites for multiple days where observations of behavior were also recorded. A report with examples of the tool will follow in the next month. Please return to this site for full details.
