Exhibit 1 presents a logic model that reflects hypotheses about the relationship between M2 Institute activities and outcomes. The model illustrates that M2 Institute components are expected to have primary impacts on IHE faculty and participating lead teachers, which in turn will lead to impacts on participating schools and IHEs. The model also indicates that, within participating schools, improvements in teacher knowledge are expected to affect practice, which, in turn, affects student achievement outcomes. Finally, the model indicates that institutional changes in participating schools and IHEs are expected to ultimately impact the mathematics teacher workforce in Nebraska. This presentation will focus on the highlighted areas, examining the hypotheses that participation in M2 leads to improvements in teacher knowledge, teacher practice, and student mathematics achievement outcomes.
